Numbers No More
For years, Maisy and Claire did not have names. They were known as 31 and 36. What they did have was a graduate researcher on their side. When time came to end the study and send Maisy and Claire off to slaughter, the student became their most ardent advocate. It took months but on March 3, 2026, Maisy and Claire went from concrete to sunshine and grass.
Getting them spayed cost $4,600 - your donation goes toward this medically important surgery as well as their ongoing care here at the sanctuary.
