Sponsor Sanctuary Sweethearts

Animal Place is home to many sanctuary sweethearts, individuals who have found love and companionship with one another. There are many uncertainties in the world, but the love these animals share is not one of them! When you support one of these bonded buddies, we’ll EMAIL you a certificate of sponsorship. More importantly, you’ll help these friendships thrive with your donation.

Shelby and Magnolia Best friends and adoptive sisters forever Shelby and Magnolia are survivors. Shelby escaped a dairy and was found on the highway. Magnolia cannot get pregnant and was given away. Both arrived nearly ten years ago. Shelby seems independent, but relies on Magnolia. The two are found side-by-side or engaged in intense grooming sessions. Your $25 donation sponsors Shelby and Magnolia, and provides them with a day’s worth of food!

Mona and Tina A life-saving friendship Mona and Tina come from a place with over 100 starving animals. They found comfort in one another, until they were rescued. Last year Tina was hospitalized for 20 days. Mona was depressed and Tina struggled to respond to treatment. We brought Mona to her and the transformation was instant. Mona’s presence allowed Tina to feel safe enough for healing.

Mocha and Latte A mother-son duo Abandoned at a gas station, Mocha did not stand a chance. Rescuers caught the rabbits. Mocha had become pregnant. Her daughters found homes quickly. But son, Latte, relied on his mother’s presence for comfort and strength. The two found a safe haven at Animal Place. Latte is always near Mocha and the two are often seen cuddling each other. Your $25 donation sponsors Mocha & Latte, and provides them with hay for two weeks. The rabbits are free-fed timothy hay, as bunnies need a constant source of forage.

Cleo and Angi A friendship from heartbreaking loss Angi spent her life in a dark barn, confined to a 2’x7’ crate. Her piglets did not survive, and her best friend passed soon after rescue. Attempts at integrating Angi in with the adult pigs failed. Then, we rescued Cleo. A feed-store dumped her in with larger piglets. Cleo suffered bite wounds and her ears were amputated. Cleo and Angi hit it off immediately and have been together ever since! Your $25 donation sponsors Cleo & Angi, and provides them with a month’s worth of deep straw bedding during the winter.
